Incarnation For All Year Round

Take a look at this video.  It is just under 8 minutes long.

Consider the mystery of God at work in your life.

What is coming to birth?

If you are unsure of the answer, perhaps you could make it your prayer to be able to see something being birthed in you over the coming period of time.

(If the video is jerky, watch direct in YouTube here.)

This amazing music, Utviklingssang, is by Carla Bley, Andy Sheppard & Steve Swallow, from the album, Trios.  The pictures are fractals originally by Richard Lyall, but since edited.

What do you see here?

Take a long look at this painting – Tenebrae – by Erica L. Grimm.

How does it speak to you?  What feelings does it pull out of you?

As you respond to the painting, is there anything you want to say to God?

Tenebrae2-Erica L Grimm

Tenebrae means “darkness” or “shadows”. It is a service of Holy Week that often takes place on the morning of Maundy Thursday.  You can find out more about Erica Grimm here – including the amazing video she made with David Squires’ music, in response to the Bali bombing of 2002.

From Carrot to Clarinet

This sounds like one of those Christmas Cracker brain teasers:  “How do you change Carrot to Clarinet without taking your pencil off the paper?”

In fact it is a video of Linsey Pollack’s amazing inventiveness.

Take a look, have a laugh, be amazed, uncumber yourself;

You may even find your brain refreshed enough to bring ingenuity to your own situation.

“Look Mum, no parachute…”

In this film, a man jumps out of a plane without a parachute and lands on a trampoline inside a hangar.  The stunt is possible because of three things:  (1) he has experience in skydiving (though he has not done this before);  (2) he is securely wearing a high tech and well-tested homing device to guide him through the air;  (3) there is a specially made trampoline to land on. It also takes courage and very careful preparation.

Now watch the film and answer the question below.

Are you as prepared as you can be for the issues you face?

Be courageous in preparation and prepared for acts of courage.
